HUGE 7mm AUSTRALIAN TICK crawling ready to bite into my skin! This tick was massive! We were walking through a typical Australian rain forest in Queensland, and stopped for a snack, when I noticed this huge tick crawling up my arm to find an ideal warm soft skin spot so it can bite in and anchor itself securely into my flesh and start sucking out my blood. Lucky I noticed it as it would not have been pleasant to have to remove it afterwards. Lime disease is a serious issue here in Australia, and even though these large tick would typically not carry the disease, it is none the less an unnecessary risk you just don;t want to take. So we always check ourselves and the kids after every trip to the forest or any grassy area here in Australia as the risks are too high. Lime disease may result in permanent paralysis, and in a relatively short period of time if untreated with antibiotics, so it pays to take care. No health insurance would cover you for this I don't think, although it may be prudent to check your levels of health cover with your Health Care Fund. In any case, hope you liked the first video. Plenty more to come on a more regular basis, so feel free to subscribe. Have a good one. MahakoLife
