Why does Stockton choose to have most advising done by faculty? Why do we classify advising as teaching, rather than as service? How can a preceptor help a student get the most out of his or her learning opportunities, to build an education that is more than the sum of its parts?

Dr. Marc Lowenstein, Associate Provost, answered these questions during his presentation, "Learning-Centered Advising," on February 28, 2012.

The Richard Stockton College of New Jersey's Brown Bag Advising Colloquia is a series sponsored by the Center for Academic Advising and the Stockton Advising Council.
