The Little Dansette Junior De Luxe has now had its restoration completed. Freshly recovered in period red and cream rexine and looking as it would when it left the Dansette factory in 1958. It has a two valve amplifier UCL83 'Output' and UY85 'Rectifier' both have been replaced along with ALL the electrolytic capacitors. New identical original 'Cheyne' catches and hinges have been fitted as the existing ones were badly corroded. I have retained the original Ful-Fi TC8 flip over knob on the front of the tone arm to keep the period look...But I have carefully concealed a new old stock BSR X3H high output cartridge with a new diamond tipped stereo ST4 stylus to allow this cute little machine to play any modern stereo records! The ST4 stylus also flips over to a mono sapphire to play 78rpm records perfectly! The only other upgrade to original is a new correctly fused mains lead and plug. I have also covered the underside of the motor board with adhesive aluminium foil to dissipate the heat from the valves which will stop the rexine covering lifting over time as is common on this model. All in all another complete loving restoration with no expense spared! This is as close as you will get to a brand new 53 year old Dansette Junior De Luxe! Thanks for watching! :)
