Melania Trump's popularity is climbing. The First Lady's favorability rating is up 16 points since her husband was sworn-in as president, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. The survey found that 52 percent of Americans have a favorable view of Mrs. Trump, an increase from 36 percent pre-inauguration. 32 percent have an unfavorable view of her, nearly identical to 31 percent pre-inauguration. 12 percent have no opinion, and three percent don't know who she is. The poll results fell along party lines, with 86 percent of Republicans viewing the First Lady favorably. Just 22 percent of Democrats said they feel the same.
Men also have a more favorable view of Trump than women, 58 to 46 percent. Melania Trump has largely stayed out of the spotlight since Inauguration Day. She visited a hospital earlier this month and read to children. On Wednesday, she hosted a luncheon at the White House to celebrate International Women's Day. Meantime, President Trump's approval rating is at 43%, according to Gallup.
