This is the hamster ball:

Interior designed with Google Sketchup http://sketchup.google.com/
... then exported to SVG using http://www.FlightsOfIdeas.net's plugin (http://code.google.com/p/sketchup-svg...)
... then converted from SVG to PDF using Inkscape (http://inkscape.org/)
... then converted to G-Code using Vectric Cut2D (http://www.vectric.com/WebSite/Vectri...)
... then cut out of plywood on a Probotix Fireball v90 (http://www.probotix.com) using Mach3 (http://www.machsupport.com/)

Used hot glue to give the plywood a snug fit (it's NOT attached and comes out easily when the ball is opened, but doesn't move when closed).

Thanks Sparkfun and Adafruit! Ya'll make this stuff easy.
