Bio-Rad InPlace process-scale chromatography columns are designed for industrial applications with contained filling, packing, unpacking, and cleaning for safe and hygienic column operation. The column design reduces buffer and solution use during packing and unpacking. These columns reduce preparation time in a purification process, resulting in more efficient operation. Low-shear slurry valves provide rapid but gentle media transfer, extending media life, and the unique flow distribution system enhances both packing and running performance, yielding uniform distribution at all flow rates. All InPlace columns share the same basic configuration, allowing for direct scaling up from pilot to manufacturing scales.
