Porsche 356 turbo professionally built one-of-a-kind street legal speedster. I am the original owner designer of this beautiful Art Deco Speedster I had the Porsche custom built from the ground up by race car driver/engineer Bob Sweatt of Metalcraft products‏. There is not a better driving speedster available today. This car handles with the technology of today's Porsche. The Chassis is a handbuilt tube chassis with four wheel independent suspension utilizing adjustable Bilstein shocks so you can raise or lower the car to your individual tastes and 4 wheel disc brakes. The bottom of the chassis is flat panned for aerodynamics. I have included a picture of the chassis. The odometer says 8733 miles but when I installed the odometer it showed 3800 miles so the actual car has only 4900 miles on it since completion. ‏ The engine was originally built by Bernie Bergman on a brand-new 2275 CC AS 21 case that is all trick machined with Cima pistons and cylinders, stage I ported and polished heads, dual springs, dual Dellorto carbs and a blow through turbonetics turbo using dial-a-boost.‏ I wanted more horsepower so I had Rascon Motorsports in Huntington Beach California rebuild the motor with Mechanical lifters and a larger cam to really make this car perform. If you run racing racing gas and then dial the turbo up she can produces well over 300 hp. This motor costs over $12,000 to build today.‏ The transmission was built by Mike Leighton racing design and development using Hewland gears.‏ The car sits on Yokohama tires with chromed Porsche Fuchs. The interior was done by Porsche restorer to recreate the original interior using Square weave German wool carpeting and connoly leather. The gauges are original purchased many years ago from Porsche Parts plus then converted to 12 V by Hollywood Speedometer. All hardware including the steering wheel and horn button, steering column and collar, stick shift and knobs, ignition switch are original 57 speedster equipment. Just trying to find this equipment let alone the cost of all this is crazy. These original horn buttons are made with real 24 karat gold. Again the steering wheel is original Porsche wheel and the only thing you may want to do is send this beauty out to get refinished (about $300) to get the hairline cracks in them that accumulate over time. It is the original hardware that really makes this car look like the real thing.‏ The sound system is all custom-built and hidden in they're own individual speaker boxes behind the leather door panels with a woofer up front powered by two alpine amplifiers under the hood. All you have to do is plug your iPhone, iPad or mp3 player and it's like having headphones on when you drive‏. You truly have to drive this card to understand what an unbelievable driving experience this car is. You can downshift into third gear when on the freeway at 80 and go well over 100 mph in no time. When you take your hands off the steering wheel, watch how smooth and straight this car tracks. The color is special order original Porsche Auratium Green. Over the years, I have put over $65,000 in this car and have almost all of the original receipts. I never planned on selling this car but it's time for my daughter to go to college‏.
