The Story of the Fuldiew Stone. A short film- This film has been made as part of a partnership between the NEELB & the "BIG ARTS" weekend (May 2013) to tell the tale of the Fuldiew Stone. This is a local tale about John McAlister, a young man who died at sea in 1803 and then was buried in Craigagh graveyard in Cushendun, Co Antrim. Little is known about the strange headstone except that the words were carved by his bride-to-be- who was then found dead on it. The film stars local young people and the original music makes a unique sound track, alongside the haunting voice of Maureen Hegarty singing the 'Blue Hills of Antrim'. Thank you! I hope you are as proud of it as we are. Also a really big thank you to each and every young person who made this happen, Xavier, Ayla, Noah, Erin, Celine, Patsy, Ryan, Aoife, & Katie. You all are star's and when your famous don't forget this is where it all started.
