This used to be one of Richard Nixon's Presidential helicopters, that is why the name painted on the nose is "The Press". It was built in 1965 and is now serving as a Fire Suppression helicopter during fire season here and in winter months it is used for logging and construction projects. It is owned and operated by Siller Brothers Inc in Yuba City Calif. They have a fleet of Sikorsky`s to include several of these models and some S-64 Sky Cranes. The Press is powered by two General Electric CT58 series turbo-shaft engines rated at 1,350 HP each, has a 5 blade main and tail rotor, can transport up to 28 people. The original metal main rotor blades have been replaced with Composite blades for increased lifting power and speed.
