I saw a few videos and blogs introducing how to make Japanese soup stock. I noticed that the kombu they were using were not meant for soup stock. I think the flavor would be so much better when you use the right ingredients. So i decided to make a video that covers tips on purchasing kombu for soup stock.
I realized when products are exported and sold in abroad, many of the labels are not necessarily translated properly. That's one of the issues i face when I go to Chinese market and Indian market sometimes. Their translated labels are not always clearly explaining what it is. I would ask a clerk, unfortunately not all of them know what they are selling. I would feel lucky if I could catch knowledgeable person.
