My review of the Coleman MC-E 500 lumen flashlight. Great entry-level spotlight-worthy competitor, but with some things flashlight buffs should take note of.
A couple of things I failed to mention in the video...the light comes with 6 double-As and says the low setting is 287 lumens. Clearly, it isn't. Have no idea where they got that from. There is also a discrepancy on the run-time on low. Packaging says 28 hours and 9 hours on high. I seriously doubt that, and the Coleman website doesn't agree, either.
Also, the lens is a cheap plastic one that scratches rather easily, and many users will be bothered by the heavy greenish outer ring of the beam tint that is extremely noticeable on light-colored backgrounds.
