Good day everyone. My name is Keith Morris and I have created this Blog called the Beltsville Beacon which can be found here at beltsvillebeacon.wordpress.com/BeltsvilleBeacon.

Periodically I will announce a new award for those whom I deem as most deserving. This award is called the "One Draw, I want to get High" award. The idea is not to promote drug use. I am totally against that. But from time to time people will do things or say things that make you wonder if they are on something or if they think everyone else is on something and they can get away with anything.

Wisconsin companies will be getting a tax break for every new job they add under a bill signed by Gov. Scott Walker. The Republican-authored plan will cost $67 million over the next two-year budget, contributing to the state's projected shortfall of $137 million dollars.

In order to close it, Walker wants to sharply curtail the collective bargaining rights of public employee unions, effectively preventing them from negotiating benefits, hours and working conditions. Public workers would also have to contribute more money toward pension and health insurance plans. What has attracted the most attention is Walker's threat to call out the National Guard in order to respond to a walk-out or any resistance to his plan.

The proposal has caused many-thousands of demonstrators to flock to Wisconsin's state house and inside the halls of its capitol building in protest of what they characterize as an assault on state workers.

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, Congratulations on being the first recipient of the "One Draw, I want to get High" award for signing a tax break thus, creating a budget crisis and using it as cover to bust up the Unions which was your aim in the first place.
