“Saved” is an upbeat original Christian-semi-rock Bible verse praise song that is played on acoustic guitar. It is a compilation of several well known Bible verses. Some artistic license was taken without taking the meanings of the verses out of context. All of the verses remain very close to the wording of the New International Version of the Holy Bible. The verses that were used are: Revelation 12:11; Romans 10:9-10, 11, 13; Romans 5: 1-2; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:20; 1 Corinthians 1:18; and Acts 2:21.

This is a great song for the Resurrection Day (Easter) services.

There are several messages in this song with the overall message that we are saved by God’s grace through faith (God's action and our response to it). The underlying messages are:

1) By God’s grace we are saved by the blood of the Lamb, Mashiach Yeshua (Messiah Jesus), and through faith we believe and are emboldened to give our testimony of that salvation by God’s grace.

2) By God’s grace we are saved when we sincerely call upon the name of Yeshua (Jesus) to save us and it is through faith that we believe it.

3) By God’s grace it is just as if we have been crucified with Christ when we turn from our sins (die to our sins) and begin to live our lives by faith in the Son of God (Yeshua, Jesus).

4) By God’s grace the message of the cross is power to those who, by faith, believe God’s message to mankind -- the message that God loves mankind so much that He sent His only Son, Yeshua (Jesus) to save mankind from the penalty due them because of their sins. Jesus took the penalty for our sins, the sins of all mankind, and died in our place on the cross because of those sins so that we would not have to die for our own sins – He did it for us as a free gift to us. For those of us who, by faith, believe the message and accept the free gift from God we will now and forevermore have eternal life with God when we pass from this current earthly life. This is what gives us power, and this is what gives us peace. Sin has no more power over us, and death has no more sting. We are truly set free from the old life of sin and death. We rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.

5) By God’s grace everyone whom, by faith (sincere belief and hope), calls upon the name of the Lord (Yeshua, Jesus) will be saved.

For this video I used two acoustic guitars. One is an early 1980’s Ovation Ultra series acoustic/electric with a deep bowl and a cut away. http://www.ovationguitars.com/ .
The other guitar is a Taylor Grand Symphony 716ce. http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/...

For this song I had my guitars tuned down a full step to “D” and placed a capo on the 5th fret. The chords used in this song are Am, C, G, and D. If you keep your guitar tuned to the standard “E” tuning you can us the following chords to play along: C#m, E, B, and F#.

This song will be great in the praise and worship service of any Messianic (born again believers in Yeshua haMashiach) and Christian gatherings. Yeshua haMashiach is translated as Jesus the Messiah.
