Dev Amrit Singh recites a Punjabi poem about learning the mother tongue to his fellow Miri Piri Academy students. Translation:

We are young pink flowers
Punjabi is our Mother tongue

We sing its praise at all times
To raise its honour in the world

Our Mother tongue is our life
Our Mother tongue is our pride

We should dedicate our life to it
At all times we should sing its fame

Our Mother tongue is very dear to us
It has also beautified my book

We should sing poems in it
And raise its honour in the world.
