Mexico has so much coastline, it is no wonder it is world famous for its beaches. But I didn't realize how charming some of these beach towns could be until I traveled there this past March. I took my mom, whom had never been to Mexico, and she and I explored the sleepy streets of the fishing village of Zihuatanejo (or Zihua). We shopped for shoes in little markets, ate lunch at a vegan cafe, strolled along the dock for a majestic view of the harbor and dined at mezcal focused restaurant along the beach walk. We even ate a torchlit dinner on the sand at Viceroy Zihuatanejo and took a sunset cruise to admire the Pacific waters and stunning coastline. But we stayed in Ixtapa, at the breathtaking Capella Resort Ixtapa, where we could admire the ocean from our private infinity pool, the terrace bar, their open air restaurants or even from our luxurious bed. We also took a boat to Isla Ixtapa for snorkeling and beachtime. There's so much more to say about these amazing Mexican paradises but watch the video and then just GO.
