Following a moment of silence to honor Coach John Wooden, who passed away two days earlier, the national anthem before Game 2 of the 2010 NBA Finals between the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers was sung by American Idol 9 winner Lee DeWyze. The introductions of the Celtics players and coach came next, followed by the video montage of the Lakers.
Ray Allen drained eight three pointers - an NBA Finals record - and Rajon Rondo posted up a triple double (19 points, 12 rebounds, and 10 assists), as the Celtics evened the series, 1-1, by winning 103-94.
