Research asks questions, investigates and then makes some sense out of the information that is found. Research is one way Spurwink is discovering what works best in the classroom, residential setting and in the community.
Spurwink brings this new knowledge and understanding to staff and others in the field of mental health and special education. At the same time, Spurwink stays up-to-date with studies around the world. Click here to read about Spurwink Research Activities.
Outcome Measurements and Research provides valuable insight about the effectiveness of services.
At Spurwink, we want to know how clients are doing while they are in our care and how we can improve the services we provide in the future. The Research Department and the Continuous Quality Improvement Department work together to collect accurate information and report on the impact of therapies, techniques and strategies implemented in the classroom, residential or day treatment environment.
Measuring outcomes allow us to evaluate how well we are providing care and uncover areas where Spurwink can do better. Including an outcomes measurement process is a proven method that leads to improving how we deliver services in the classroom, residential setting or community.
