"Talking head" videos aren't that hard to make look good. Here's how you can make yours look good in about 30 seconds in Premier Pro, After Effects, Sony Vegas and more!

UPDATE: 9/12/2012
I would feel remiss if I didn't mention this...Pros who do color correction DO NOT use this technique. This is a simple, quick, and fast way to get you up and running. If you want to do real color correction, there are hundreds of tutorials on the web and you should watch them and get skilled in color correction. But please do not go away from this thinking this is how to do color correction on your videos. :)

Was the ending a nod to Monty Python? Reminded me of Gilliam's work :)

No sir, thank YOU! :D

"you should correct all of your footage before making your cuts." Are you suggesting that for every video? Meaning before i do anything in post, drag every piece of RAW footage into to the timeline FIRST, correct it, then cut? If so, what about the 3-point editing rule that suggest placing your in and out points first then extracting the video data within onto the timeline afterwards? I hope that made sense. lol

Thanks, I looked a few tutorials and they are lengthy. When I am ready, I'll ask you for help.

okay thanks for the list, I have a camera (but one can never have too many lens') I have an okay tripod, but I think I should be purchasing a better one still. I have FCPX and Motion 5. For audio I have the rode videomic and am thinking of purchasing the zoom h1 v2 soon. I don't know how I could find someone who would want to donate after effects to me :( Thanks!
didanhtennis
