Speech given by Arlen Schumer at the Society of Illustrators' 9/11 Memorial Exhibition, New York City, February 2002, in conjunction with his portrait of Louis Nacke, a passenger on Flight 93, as Superman (Nacke had a Superman tattoo on his shoulder, according to his widow, who was in attendance and given a framed portrait by Schumer).
