In a new 2012 Katy Perry interview, she talks about how hard it was to tour while going through a divorce from Russell Brand! http://bit.ly/SubClevverNews - Subscribe Now! http://Facebook.com/ClevverNews - Like Us! http://Twitter.com/ClevverNews - Follow Us! Katy Perry has done a pretty solid job of keeping her personal life personal, not really revealing too much about why her marriage to Russell Brand didn't work out. But now, she's on the cover of The Hollywood Reporter, and shared an intimate memory from being on her California Dreams tour, which explains just how tough things got. The 27 year old explained, "There were times when what was going on in my personal life was so overwhelming that I had to bend over to let those tears fall straight out of my eyes and not my false lashes just as I'm about to go up on that ramp and sing 'Teenage Dream.'" Katy wouldn't reveal specifics, but summed it all up by saying, "Nobody knows what really happened except the two people who are in it." But as for her songwriting, Katy is staying true to what she knows—writing about real life experiences. She said, "Honesty has always worked for me ... so if it ain't broke, why f---ing fix it?" Thankfully, it seems Katy is "WIDE AWAKE" and better than ever (see what I did there?!)! She's getting ready for the release of her 3D docu-style movie, which by the way, she put up $2 million dollars of her own money to see it come to life. She also announced that she'll be starting her own record label soon, with her top priorities being: 1-treating artists well and fairly, and 2- making sure they find financial success. So are you guys happy to see Katy in a happier place, moving on from her divorce and being productive with new projects?
