ACICS -- "A Centennial of Excellence, A Future of Promise" provides an overview of the 100-year history of the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools (ACICS). Founded in 1912, ACICS has served as a national accreditor of private postsecondary sector colleges and universities in the United States and abroad. ACICS has a long history of ensuring that its schools are providing their students with high-quality education. Currently, most ACICS graduates are placed in jobs in healthcare, business administration, criminal justice, and IT fields.

ACICS is one of the most respected and longest established national accreditors of academic institutions in the United States. It is recognized by the U.S. Department of Education and the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). ACICS currently accredits more than 900 institutions throughout the United States and more than a dozen foreign countries enrolling over 800,000 students.
