The 14th CARE National Conference culminated with 557 participants from 38 U.S. states attending nearly 200 meetings in the offices of their elected representatives on Capitol Hill. Volunteer advocates raised their voices in favor of legislation that addresses global food security, maternal and child health and the need for more resources to help families and communities in crisis. Energized by two days of conference workshops and training, they engaged their leaders in support of the issues that matter to CARE and to the millions of people facing every day in extreme poverty.
