Wapiyapi is a Colorado based nonprofit organization that offers a community of hope and support to families affected by childhood cancer. Wapiyapi hosts free summer camps to provide a respite for children with cancer and their families. Wapiyapi was established in 1998 by University of Colorado medical students in order to help children with cancer. As of 2013, our annual summer camps and retreats have served over 1,400 children in a safe and nurturing environment that allows these patients and their families to understand that they do not face their challenges alone.

Volunteers may sign up for 1 or 2 sessions. Recruitment will remain open until all roles have been assigned. All volunteers must be available one day prior to their session(s) for training.

An orientation meeting is required for all first-time volunteers. Five sessions will be offered along the Front Range this spring and applicants may choose any one to attend.
