Khaled El Emam discusses the de-identification of the Heritage Health Prize dataset. He provides an overview of the rationales and methods used to de-identify the data, as well as lessons learned through the process. Additionally, he addresses questions from different communities including entrants in the competition, the disclosure control community, and other competition organizers. Dr. Khaled El Emam is the Principal Investigator of the Electronic Health Information Laboratory, part of the CHEO Research Institute.
