In this video we analyse the lyrics to the song 'Pareidolia' which was composed and performed by Kevin Sherwood with Vocals by Elena Siegman.

This is the seventh of 8 episodes each analysing the lyrics to the Easter Egg songs in all of the Call of Duty: Nazi Zombies maps in the order: Lullaby For a Dead Man, The One, Beauty of Annihilation, 115, Abracadvre, Not Ready to Die, Pareidolia and finally Coming Home.

This song is (in my opinion) yet again about Samantha, however this time it resembles her insanity and how being stuck in Aether has caused her to go crazy and lose touch of who she is. But I may be wrong. I also highlighted the background and rendered it in HD so that there shouldn't be any issues with pixelated text and distorted sound.

These videos may look simple but they are in fact really hard to make as I have to get the lyrics, analyse them and edit the particular verses out of each song which takes a lot of time, all on my netbook. This song is one of the longest, however there aren't actually too many lyrics to it, although some of the lyrics were really hard to decipher.

This is the second last one and next I'll be doing Coming Home, which should be really easy besides working out what Elena is actually saying during the screaming parts xD

Pareidolia:
Rating of Song: 6/10
Relevance to Story: 6/10
Creativity of Lyrics 7/10

Leave your thoughts and opinions on the video, the song and the game in the comments below, if you think any of the lyrics mean anything different then please mention it to me and I'll annotate the video.

Also I edited the video with snip-it's from the song so that there are pauses for you to read the on screen text and so you don't have to listen to lyrics I've already done.

DISCLAIMER: All interpretations of the lyrics in this video are purely in my opinion and may not be correct, they are open to your interpretation in the comments below ^^

-----LYRICS-----

I see them staring back at me
They know my name
The faces in the sky are looking for something more
My friends have paper smiles and laugh at me in all my trials
Their eyes are everywhere and see everything
What do
They need
And I need them
See me, and I see them
Within the lines they've been burned in my mind (burned in my mind!)

It all ends so violently, I know
My sweet pareidolia
It all ends so painfully and slow
My pareidolia

My friends have hollow eyes
They're made of shapes and curvy lines
Their eyes are everywhere and see everything
What do
They need me
And I need them
See me, and I see them
Within in the lines they've been burned in my mind(burned in my mind!)

It all ends so violently, I know
My sweet pareidolia
It all ends so painfully and slow
My pareidolia

The loneliness is only missed when I am alone
Ohhhh
Yeahh

I might try to find my light tonight
Hide my sight from eyes I try to fight
My nine eyes of light die by the blight
Ride Wight knight unite my plight tonight

They're inside me (They're inside me!)
I'm inside out (I'm inside out!)
They're all around
Within, without (Within, without!)
They're inside, I'm outside
They're all around (They're all around!)

They're inside me
I'm inside out
They're all around
(Within, without!)

It all ends so violently, I know
My sweet pareidolia
It all ends so painfully and slow
My pareidolia
