In August 2014, the DSWT was called to rescue a tiny elephant by helicopter from a remote mountain range in Kenya's Northern Frontier District. Found amongst a herd of livestock with no other elephants in sight, newborn Ndotto weighed barely 40kg upon arrival at our Nairobi Nursery and had almost certainly been born prematurely. 21 months on, his survival is nothing short of a miracle.
