This tutorial explains how to use Photoshop to add contrast to a photo using a blending mode. I show you the difference between applying a blend mode to all three color channels (RGB) versus one color channel (red). I demonstrate how to select a single color channel and how to use that selection to make a mask. Afterwards, I show how to apply a blending mode to a single color channel and how to use the layer's opacity to make the edit more natural. (skill level=intermediate)
