How healthy are your habits? How healthy are the habits of those around you? Dr. Agnis Stibe is redesigning cities to help the inhabitants follow healthier, more sustainable habits. Dr. Agnis Stibe is a Postdoctoral Associate of Changing Places group at MIT Media Lab His work is focused on persuasive engineering of Socially Influencing Systems (SIS) for behavior change. His research foundation is built upon an extensive knowledge base deriving from socio-psychological theories that describe various aspects of social influence.
Agnis is an active member of the Persuasive Technology community, frequently chairing and speaking at annual research conferences (e.g. HICSS, ECIS, MobiWIS), and effectively collaborating with industry.
Over more than 20 years, Agnis has gained professional experience in sales and marketing of IT services and products, development of interactive web solutions, and customer relationship management. He has worked for a number of multinational IT companies such as Hewlett-Packard, Oracle, and FirstData International.
