Bill Elwell conducts this sacred ceremony, including building the hut, preparing the alter, conducting the ceremony and the plunge into the icy river. Large stones, heated red hot, are placed within the sweat lodge, herbs and water sprinkled over the rocks as participants chant, drum and pray.
