Selena's POV:
When I got inside the hospital, I went straight to the front desk. "Do you know what room Demetria Lovato is in? She's my girlfriend," I told the receptionist.
She pressed a few keys. "She's in Room 407, on the fourth floor."
"Thank you." I walked down the hall on the fourth floor until I got to Room 407. When I saw the tears on Debby and Granny's faces, I knew the news on Demi couldn't be good.
Granny looked up at me, and her grieving eyes almost made me cry. "They said her heartbeat will keep slowing down until it finally stops. I guess we didn't get here in time....We've already said our goodbyes, so we'll leave you alone to do yours." Her voice caught at the end. She put her arm around Debby, and they both walked out with their heads down.
With them gone, I was finally able to get a good look at Demi. I almost wanted to turn away because the sight was so heartbreaking. She sat there seemingly lifeless, her chest barely raising with each breath she took. The heart monitor beeped every 20 seconds.
I sighed and took Demi's cold hands in mine. "Demetria Devonne Lovato....Just your name gives me the chills. You're an angel with a voice that sends a shiver down my spine every time I hear it. Your touch is one that makes my heart stop every time I feel it. My life and I are NOTHING without you."
A Keisha Cole song suddenly popped in my head, and I felt the need to sing it, changing the lyrics as I went. "I love you. You complete me. You hold my heart in your hands. But it's okay. I trust that, you'll be the best wife that you can...." My voice faded out at the end.
I wiped a single tear from my cheek. "Yeah, that's right. I wanted to marry you someday. But even though I'll never have the chance, I still want to spend the rest of my life with you."
I looked up and saw the monitor had a flat line, and there was a steady beep. A doctor came in to cover her up, but I stopped him. "Is it alright if I say goodbye first?" He nodded and closed the door as he left.

My POV:
Selena pulled a butcher knife from her bag, the one she had retrieved from Granny Pickett's house. She locked the door so no one could stop her and went back over to Demi's side. She jammed the knife straight into her heart.
"For you...Demi," she choked out as she fell back on the ground. Now she could not grieve because she was by her lover's side in the afterlife. And so the tale of love ended as it began: someone who cared for another so much that they were willing to die with them....

So what do you say? Was the ending pretty good? Did you cry? Haha anyways, my new story is a remake of Lemonade Mouth, something they could never show on Disney Channel. You'll pretty much figure out who belongs together after you start reading a few chapters. It's called "Love Over Music: A Band Story" BTW did I mention I graduated as valedictorian of my class? Well, not yet. But tomorrow!
