The lecture "Aesthetics in Implantology: Predictable Site Development," by Dr. Ueli Gründer, was part of the 35th annual USC Periodontal and Implant Symposium (theme: "The Age of Speed") held in Los Angeles in 2010. Dr. Gründer received his DMD degree from the University of Zurich, Switzerland, in 1982. His postgraduate education in advanced fixed prosthodontics also came from the University of Zurich, where he has been a senior lecturer since 1987. He is a certified specialist for reconstructive dentistry. He has maintained a private practice together with Thomas Gaberthüel in Zollikon-Zurich since 1989, has published numerous papers, and has lectured extensively both nationally and internationally on the surgical and prosthetic aspects of implant dentistry. Dr. Gründer is a past president of the Swiss Society of Oral Implantology (SSOI) and of the European Academy of Esthetic Dentistry (EAED).
