Origins, the skin care brand, will partner with Gavin DeGraw and Vanessa Carlton to celebrate the company's Global Earth initiatives at the third annual Origins Rocks Earth Month, a free concert in New York City on April 18th. Additional Origins-sponsored concerts will be produced in Taipei and in Berlin. The concert series supports the Origins Global Plant-a-Tree Program, in which a tree is planted on behalf of each concert attendee through American Forests' Global ReLeaf program. The April 18th concert will be live streamed and rebroadcast on the Web, and additional trees will be planted on behalf of live stream viewers.

Canadian Business for Social Responsibility has published its quarterly CSR trends report. The paper identifies top trends to watch in 2012, including:
• the use of social media to gain trust with stakeholders
• increased efforts to collaborate among like-minded companies and organizations
• a closer examination of supply chains, especially in emerging markets
• and an increased interest in impact investing, the flow of private capital to generate solutions for social good.
