Jeb Breithaupt, President and name sake of JEB Design/Build, gives tips and advice on “do it yourself” projects. While some things are very obviously either easy or hard, there are some projects that could seem simple but turn out being very difficult, costly, and/or time consuming. The key is knowing what’s worth your time and aggravation and what’s better left to professionals.

At JEB Design/Build, we truly understand and respect any concerns you have a about a company fulfilling your dream remodeling job with utmost care and craftsmanship. This is why before any nails are hammered, products are purchased, or even before we begin preplanning, you will be given “Peace of Mind”. At no point during your project, from the initial consultation until the last day of work and beyond, will you ever find yourself in the dark. All critical documents and information such as project notes, permits, warranty details, contracts and much more will be kept in your specified project binder and will be accessible at all times. We look forward to surpassing all of your expectations!

One of the biggest reasons why our clients can trust us to build their dream home is that at JEB Design/Build, we don’t leave things to chance. Most contractors are very good at building things, but they are often surprisingly bad at planning their projects. Customers end up paying for their contractors’ poor planning habits in the form of unexpected delays, avoidable misunderstandings about exactly what the customer wanted, and change orders to pay for features that were left out of the contractor’s original estimate.

The JEB Design/Build team views messy planning as unacceptable. Instead of “we’ll figure it out on the job site,” our staff insists on figuring it out before the job starts. The result is a smoother-running project, with accurate estimates for time, materials and labor, 3D drawings that show the client what the finished project is going to look like, and pre-planning so that materials, hardware, and specialty trades are available when needed.

Our secret isn’t really a secret: we use a process to give you the dream home you deserve.
