The KillaJoule electric sidecar streamliner motorcycle doing 216.504 MPH in the flying kilometer (214.050 MPH in the flying mile) at BUB Motorcycle Speed Trials 2012 at Bonneville Salt Flats. Driver and builder is Eva HÃ¥kansson.

Most of the noise you can hear is from the chain (you never hear the chain in an internal combustion vehicle, the engine is way too noise).

The brake chutes look really cool when they bloom like flowers. Both chutes are "Bonneville Ribbon Chutes" from Stroud Safety. The yellow ribbons are Kevlar.
Due to the somewhat complicated rules for setting official records (an AMA record is an average of two runs, both made the same day and in a specific order), the official record ended up being 191.488 MPH, but we will be back next year!
