This documentary details a 26 year old Ashanti priest's matter of fact account of the gods that regularly guide, teach, and possess him in the service of his Ghanaian village. It explores the regional anthropology of spiritual sickness—called sunsum yare by the Akan—with the attendant methods of cure: divination, ritual sacrifice, spirit possession and herbal medicine.
