http://www.idhhb.com Half a century later, in 2012, E.J. Gold -- that's me -- explains and demonstrates how he learned to handle a gun for exhibition and film purposes -- I was on contract to Universal Studios at that time -- and I learned gun twirling from Sammy Davis, Jr., who was a fast-draw and twirling expert -- beyond expert, actually. I had an 1857 Colt Dragoon, I believe, at the time. Sammy fired a similar weapon, but it was single-action, a Colt .45, brightly chromed with a special blast-down of the hammer and a hair trigger, as I recall, but he also shot a black-powder civil war period piece at least once. He was the fastest and best I've ever seen in person, and he was far faster than Jerry Lewis and Dean Martin, both of whom were fast-draw enthusiasts. Of course in this video it's only a cap gun, unweighted and unbalanced, and I had not tried this for some 47 years, so it was doubly difficult to handle. Be sure to see my newest videos...my double action replica exact weight and balance Old West Six-Shooters have arrived!!!
