Note from TED: We've flagged this talk, which was filmed at an independent TEDx event, because it appears to fall outside TEDx's curatorial guidelines. The claims made in this talk, that certain aspects of the birthing experience, like having a Cesarean section, may result in a imprint on the developing limbic system that causes a variety of negative outcomes, would not be considered credible by most scientists. Additionally, the proposed therapy, "limbic imprint recoding," and its suggested effects, would not be considered legitimate by most scientists. The guidelines we give our TEDx organizers are described in more detail here:
With Limbic Imprint awareness, we have the opportunity to gift ourselves and future generations with a blueprint of being totally safe, deeply loved, full of potential and completely connected... We, as a species have the ability to consciously evolve.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)
