Dr Michael Hill, president of the League of the South, tells a Black reporter in Tallahassee that he is standing up for the rights of White Southern people because no one else will do it because they're too afraid of being called ugly names. At the same time, Dr Hill tells the reporter, he has no objection to others standing up for their own people. The reporter and Dr Hill shake hands and depart on friendly terms after the reporter says 'We can have a lot of conversation.' Dr Hill agrees, 'We can.'
