God’s Discipline – Eternal Security
Scripture tells us in Hebrews 12:6 that, “For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth.” In Hebrews 12:5-8 we learn that even though God chastens His children, He never “kicks” them out of His family. Five times in this passage about God’s discipline in this life, even though we are being disciplined, we are still “sons” and “daughters.”
And in Heaven, when we stand at the Judgment Seat of Christ, which takes place after the Rapture, and should all our works turn out to be “wood, hay, and stubble,” the Bible says, “If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.” (1 Corinthians 3:15)
