Auburn WA poet Paul Nelson in private reading from his long, brilliant exploration of the culture history at the high place where you can see everything around the confluence of the White and Green Rivers. I like this poem (and all the others I've uploaded) because its display of knowledge and intellect highlights the difference between serious poets and romantic self-idolizers and wanna-bukowskis looking to get laid for a couple of rhymes. This poem covers enough history and anthropology to provide content for several university courses in those subjects, but there are no courses for getting this much sensitivity. You've either got it, or vote republican.
