Barb Altman discusses her journey from depression to recovery. Hi, I'm Barb Altman and I have hope for those of you who are suffering from depression, anxiety, and psychosis. Depression can be overcome through counseling, community involvement, and integrated healing modalities. I've done it, and you can too. As a woman of retirement age, I am absolutely dedicated to my health and my happiness. And I'm eager to tell my story in the hopes it will help other psychotics and depressives. In my book, Recovering from Depression, Anxiety, and Psychosis I talk about my life experiences and my integrative approach to vibrant health and well -being. My vision is to offer you alternative ways to heal from depression and I will tell you my story of healing. At age fifteen, I became psychotic due to stress, abuse, and an addiction to sugar. I quickly became mentally ill, unable to focus ,and was even threatened with institutionalization. But now with the help of my doctor, a therapist, and a wonderful nutritionist, I am now free of psychotic events. My mental focus has returned, and I lead a life of joy and fulfillment. What I will do for you is tell my story of healing, hope and faith. I have healed from psychosis and you can too. My recovery came with the help of qualified professionals, healing modalities. and nutritional therapies that I use to this day. My path for recovery may not be right for everyone, and you should always consult with you doctor before beginning or changing any treatment of any kind. But I believe that knowing of my recovery to health and well being will help you on yours. You will learn that you are not alone. Blessings and good health to all. http://www.amazon.com/Recovering-From... http://www.depressiontorecovery.com/b... http://www.depressiontorecovery.com/
