Hip-hop(e): Roberto Rivera at TEDxGrandRapids

Rivera leads The Good Life Alliance PBC, an organization that publishes multi-media educational tools and trains educators, youth workers, and parents to connect positive youth development to community development. Rivera's community-based popular education experience has won him awards from former president Bill Clinton and Congresswoman Tammy Baldwin, and was recently named one of the "Top Young Change Agents in America" by the Search for Common Ground Coalition.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event.
