Ten weeks have passed since I started my very large Minecraft railway project. In that time, the game has seen changes ranging from simple bugfixes to the introduction of biomes and lava pools. This map is now over 12 game miles long, over double the version in my previous video.

Because of its vast size, I am unable to get an isometric or oblique Cartograph render: the resultant png would be sized in the gigabyte range. If you'd like, a basic overhead render is available at http://dl.dropbox.com/u/148970/minecr...

I used INVedit and MCedit extensively in this build.

Captured with Fraps at 720p30, doubled to 60 with Virtualdubmod, then sped up to 24 times normal speed, edited, and finally rendered to 29.97 fps with Sony Vegas. This framerate juggling adds a bit of a motion blur effect to the video without me having to explicitly set one up, and youtube doesn't accept 60 fps video anyway.
