On July 21, the yearly Cheyenne Frontier Days train makes another trip to Cheyenne for everyone to enjoy!
UP 844 does the honors of pulling the train along with, unfortunately, 2 GEVo's, UP 7964, the 5,000th GEVo built by GE, UP 7963 and 23 passenger cars. Unlike last year, I decided to stick around Greeley to avoid all these chasers. My first shot was South of La Salle and just north of the Greeley station.
After I caught the 844, I stuck around the Greeley Subdivision to catch whatever managed to show up. Overall, I absolutely enjoyed my day on the line, and git to meet two other railfans, Jointlinerailfan, and FrontRangeTrains. Shout out to you guys!!
