Di Meola appreciates the music of the world. Can play anything. Can stand on stage with any guitar player on earth, anywhere on earth. Won't even be recognized on the street. Gets paid nowhere near the money of some 24 year-old DJ playing records and MAC laptops to kids on drugs in a warehouse. Will never be on Ellen Degenerate show. Will never be in Hollywood. Deserves much, much more....

Can't wait for the "Elegant Gypsy and more..." 2015 tour!
I love Al's playing and have followed him since Return to Forever. I don't think most people can appreciate his music. This music is not pleasing to everyone's ear and quite frankly it can become monotonous. The Beatles for example did what they did and it was their style but their music appealed to the masses. If it came on the radio you would find your grandmother tapping her feet to it. Their music has been copied by many and adapted to all kinds of music from a full orquestrated arrangement to Latin. Al's music doesn't have that quality, it is not melodic enough. Just my opinion. Having said that........ I love his playing. His Piazolla album is fantastic!
