AMIIIIN YA ALLOH YA ROBBAL'ALAMINNN....

@ines695 In mentioning "unanimity", believing that celebrating birthdays is an imitation of the kuffar is only the opinion of one - Imam Anwar al-Awlaki. Perhaps we can all benefit by taking a second, third, fourth etc opinion of the knowledge of our deen before closing ourselves off to Divine inspiration. The beauty of Islam allows for differences of opinion, all of which are acceptable. You and I are both correct. And Allah (swt) alone grants success. Fi amanAllah.
khanimra
@ines695 Imam Anwar al-awlaki is a member of al-Qaeda in Yemen, a group that advocates killing, violence, corruption and mass fitnah in this Ummah. Who has he received ihjaaza from to promote such things? Mashaa'aykh al-Habaaib all have ihjaaza from Habaaib that preceded them, whose unbroken chain of ihjaaza goes all the way back to the tabi'een and to the Prophet (saw). I would be very careful as to whom we take our knowledge of this deen from.
khanimra
@ines695 I have sat with the likes of Shaykh Habib Umar bin Hafiz al-Husayni and Shaykh Habib Ali al-Jifri al-Husayni of Hadramout and know that mawlid is a very deep love of the Prophet (saw). Habaaib including Shaykh Habib Salih al-Ja’fari al-Husayni (raheem Allah) all encouraged mawlid. Many of the Habaaib that branch from Yemen pratice mawlid. Shaykh Habib Muhammad al-Yaqoubi al-Hassani of Sham promotes mawlid.
khanimra
@ines695 It seems your opinion is very bias and will not change even if I send you the link. The widespread use of the term " bid'a " today by common people, like you and I, is a bid'a in and of itself. I can attest that the Maliki, Shafi'i, and Hanafi Sunni madaahab allow the practice of mawlid and strongly encourage it; I'm not very familiar with the Hanbali madhab as it's isolated to North Africa and pockets of the Middle-East. There is unanimity in the Ummah about the practice of mawlid.
ines695
@khanimra There must be unanimity therefore, not only one shaykh ho claim that make his point of view right , and after all most of shyoukh ho say so are soufi because believing on that make the idea and the practice of celebration of mawled of rasoulou elleh (saw) not bida while it is a huge bida , that s why it look strange that one sonni shaykh can believe on that , send me the link inbox i would like to check that.
khanimra
@ines695 Posting links is blocked by youtube, but there is a short article written by Shaykh Faraz Rabbani, a Sunnipath Shaykh and murid of well known mashaa'aykh. I would be happy to inbox you the link, if you wish. It can be found at "SeekersGuidance" website under the "Answers" category. Feel free to look it up insha'Allah.

@ines695 One of the reasons the Prophet (saw) fasted on Mondays was in recognition of the day of his birth, that he was 'sent as a Mercy to mankind' and showed gratitude to Allah (swt) by fasting.. This is not my opinion, but of the ULEMA, nor is it one of 'sick understanding' or 'misguidance'.
ines695
@khanimra he said also saw in that day i was born and i got wahy " inspiration " from allah sbw ( Sahih muslim) so the main reason of fasting of rasoul elleh saw on Monday is not as celebration to his day of birth ( be careful )and if you want to believe that celebration of birthday is not imitation of kuffar this is your own believe, do not give wrong shahed as fasting of rasoul allah saw on Monday to to strengthen your point of view.
