Bought in 1999 in Cambridge in UK for 68 or 78 pounds, card used NASA technology for creation of 3d sound just by 2 headphones or 2 or 4 speakers, it was simulation 3d by calculating delays between 1 and 2nd ear when sound wave travels around head and proper reproduction - they called it A3D (Aureal 3D) - biggest competitor of Creative and its crappy EAX, Creative bribed lawyers (lawsuit they call it) and brough VideoLogic down, VideoLogic was bought by Crative and closed, VideoLogic was about to publish drivers for Win XP but its website was closed. Win XP support this card but not all functions, it hang sometimes in games, problem is that this card cannot be without data for more than 10ms, there were modified drivers on internet allowing flawless operation under win XP and win Vista. Mine was working with 2x150W and 2x250W speakers, impressive sound, never heard something like this. VideoLogic, Aureal, and Sonic Vortex will forever be in our memory.
