Hyundai America has won the Urban Car of the Year award for its 2012 Veloster car by the Emerging Diversity Education Fund and Decisive Media, sponsors of the Official Multicultural Event of the North American International Auto Show. Hyundai was also awarded the Corporate Social Responsibility Project of the Year honor for its Hyundai Hope on Wheels program. Hope on Wheels joins 800 Hyundai dealers to raise awareness and funds for pediatric cancer. Since 1998, the program has donated $43 million dollars to fight the disease.

Ethisphere has announced its annual list of the "100 Most Influential People in Business Ethics." The top 3 are Anna Hazare, Indian anti-corruption activist who impacted governance through hunger strikes; Jed Rakoff, the U.S. District Judge who denied a Citibank/SEC settlement because it did not require the bank to admit or deny guilt; and Alexei Navalny, Russian blogger and activist whose work has galvanized the movement for more democracy.
