In Peru, local women fight land degradation by planting tara trees and other medicinal plants on the river banks and slopes near Lima. Thanks to the GEF Small Grants Programme, they also can fight air and water pollution and earn income by selling tara and aloe products to local markets. Find out more at www.thegef.org.
