Roger Hodgson, co-founder and voice of Supertramp, wrote and sang most of the greatest hits that led to their worldwide acclaim. This timeless classic, Take the Long Way Home, is a fan favorite of many. Roger gave us not only Take the Long Way Home, but also Breakfast in America, The Logical Song, Give a Little Bit, Dreamer, It's Raining Again, School, Fool's Overture & more.

"TAKE THE LONG WAY HOME was a song that I wrote, actually, during or right before we went into the studio to record the album "Breakfast in America." It was a last-minute surprise for me. It's on two levels - on one level I'm talking about not wanting to go home to the wife, take the long way home because she treats you like part of the furniture, but there's a deeper level to the song, too. I really believe we all want to find our true home, find that place in us where we feel at home, and to me, home is in the heart. And when we're in touch with our heart and we're living our life from our heart, then we do feel like we found our home." ~Roger Hodgson

Do not miss seeing Roger live in concert! He is currently on his world tour and selling out shows around the globe. There's nothing better than seeing the original artist performing his own song and that pristine voice of Roger's has only gotten better over the years. Roger was Supertramp's chief architect and visionary when it came to arranging and producing the albums and designing the stage shows. http://www.RogerHodgson.com or http://www.Facebook.com/RogerHodgson

Although Roger shared writer's credit with Rick, they wrote and composed separately with each singing their own respective songs, much like Lennon/McCartney. Roger's songs that are often referred to as "Supertramp songs", Roger wrote and composed alone - that's how he creates music. He will often hear the musical composition first, then the lyrics come. Sometimes he will hear the whole song complete inside himself before he puts it down on paper and records it. When he was with Supertramp, he would make a demo of the song and bring it to the band for them to learn their parts. Supertramp as a band never wrote and composed together, there were only two songwriters for the band.

This video is from Roger's DVD, "Take the Long Way Home - Live in Montreal" went Platinum in just seven weeks, hit #1 in all of Canada and multi-Platinum & Gold in France and Germany. http://www.RogerHodgsonStore.com

"I would just like to say that the concert was an amazing piece of nostalgia for all Supertramp fans. One could close their eyes and it was as if one was back in the 70's listening to a Supertramp concert only better."

"When Roger played his first song, 'Give a little bit' I was in shock. It was amazing. His voice is amazing. All I could think was 'Wow, that is a real legend performing right in front of me'. The concert overall was just amazing. Words cannot describe it."
